Kathgola Palace

The Kathgola Palace situated at a distance of 5 kilometers from Hazarduari is one of the attraction for the tourists. The Kathgola Palace is a 4 storied structure. It is said that Mir Jafar was paid a lot of money by William Watts and Walsh when they met Mir Jafar three days after the Battle of Plassey in 1757 at this palace in return of his betrayal act or in other words for assisting the Britishers. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden. There is a Adinath Jain Temple inside the compound. The temple has a rich religious and cultural heritage. It is typically decorated in Jain style.





Khusbagh

Khusbagh (Garden of Happiness) is a boat ride across the river Ganga, where Nawab Alivardi Khan, Alivardi's Mother, Siraj-ud-Doula and his wife Lutfannesha and other members of the Nawab family were buried.







Motijheel

Motijheel is located at a distance of about one km South of Lalbagh. This attractive horseshoe formed lake was dig up by Nawazesh Mohammad, the husband of the famous Ghasseti Begum. Moti Jheel was the dwelling of Warren Hastings when he became the Political President at the Durbar of the Nawab Nazim (1771 - 73 AD). This was also a resident of Lord Teinmouth, Sir John Shore and other British high ranking officials. The only old construction existing is the Mosque of Shahamat Jang.
